About the Doctors

Melody Higginbotham, DMD

Dr. Higginbotham has been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry for 30 years! She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and her dental degree at the Medical College of Georgia. An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Higginbotham is an active member in many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Clarke County Dental Society and the Eastern District Dental Society. In her spare time, she enjoys collecting pottery and blown glass, participating with the Upper Room Fellowship, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Whitney Swann, DMD

Dr. Swann has been delivering the highest quality of dental services to her community for over 10 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University, and then earned her dental degree, as well as completed a general practice residency, at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Swann is a member of many top dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Clarke County Dental Society and the Eastern District Dental Society. When not in the office, she stays busy as a member of the Junior League of Athens, a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, and she enjoys spending time with her husband, Richard; their two children, Price and Sally; and their two dogs, Ellie and Essie.

Alyson White, DMD

Dr. White is a native of Athens, Georgia. she graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Psychology. She then attended the Medical College of Georgia (now Georgia Health Sciences University) School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. White has a passion for dentistry and mission work. While in dental school, she spent a significant amount of time volunteering at the Hope Dental Clinic and taking dental mission trips to Nicaragua, Peru, and Trinidad. When she's not working, Alyson enjoys traveling, cooking, volunteering at the Mercy Clinic, and spending time with her husband, Micah.
